Meet the Founder

Jo Massaro is a Christian speaker, author, and founder of Jo Massaro Ministries and In Their Hands, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to children’s literacy and meaningful community outreach. Through faith-centered storytelling, writing, speaking, and reflection, Jo’s work is rooted in encouraging others, strengthening connection, and sharing hope with purpose.

Known by many as the “Research Detective,” Jo is passionate about uncovering meaningful stories, historical insights, and lessons that inspire growth, curiosity, and faith. She is the author of The Book Lover’s Companion, Second Edition and is currently writing a series of middle-grade historical fiction novels in memory of her son, Jason Douglas Woodward.
